This guy rocks!!! It took him all of 40 seconds to get into how to slap on a Bass. About 3:30 into the video he starts teaching how to tap on a Bass. This video is so full of information most of your should learn something. Plus if you just listen to the whole video I think you will get good a laugh out of the guy :). Once you get over laughing by some of his comments “always never give up”, he enjoys what he is doing so it’s pretty fun to watch too.

Enjoy……

I thought that this video would be good to add. This is for those people who don’t know anything about guitars and want to talk with there friends who rock (while your standing around the water cooler at work).

I wanted to put this article out there for those people who are looking to take guitar lessons. Here we post plenty of “Learn How To Play Guitar” videos but wanted to start providing resources for learning how to play online through courses. The benefits of Ben Edwards guitar course seem pretty sweet especially the jamming sessions (used to teach :) )

Enjoy the article…..

Jamorama Acoustic Guitar Course - Is It The Best?
By Allison Thompson

Ben Edwards a master guitarist has produced yet another great online guitar course for those just beginning. The previous course known as Jamorama was designed to help you learn how to play the electric guitar, but the recently released course known as Jamorama Acoustic Guitar Course enables you to learn how to play this particular instrument.

Today when searching for online guitar courses you will find that there are several different ones to choose from. But of all them the original course designed by Ben Edwards is still one that many people prefer to use even though it has been around for several years now. Even though Ben has now introduced his new course which can help you learn to play the acoustic guitar it still contains the same high quality material and information that the original course had to offer.

The Jamorama Acoustic Guitar course consists of 2 books and 153 video lessons which are quick and easy to download from the internet. It is through these books and videos that you will learn the techniques that will enable you to play the acoustic guitar more competently. But as well as the lessons along the way Ben provides tips and tricks which can further enhance your playing skills and which help you to learning to play the instrument much more quickly.

Although there are plenty of other online guitar courses to choose form there are certain things within the ones devised by Ben Edwards which sets them apart from the others. As well as the books and video lessons, Ben provides an integrated learning kit which consists of games and jamming sessions. It is these additional benefits which assist in making the whole process of practice and learning to play the guitar much more fun. Because you find yourself enjoying your practice sessions more you find that you are actually learning a lot more quickly as well.

As previously mentioned the games that Ben has included in this course make it a much more pleasurable experience for you, especially when you are only just learning how to play it. Also these games have been developed by a professional and will become invaluable to you as you skills develop further, especially when you want to improve on your key skills. It is these games and other resources within the course which can turn you into a far more competent and confident guitar player.

The one thing which makes this particular online course stand out from all the others that are available is that you can email and talk with Ben at any time for free. This is particular encouraging for a beginner as they know that they have support which is just a click of the mouse away. Although all the other courses available online are good, there are none which offer the same kind of support as this one does.

Another benefit of taking this online guitar course over the many others now available on the internet is that it is extremely easy and simple to use and understand. This is because Ben Edwards has chosen to concentrate less on the theory side of learning to play the guitar and more on the practical. But even so you will still learn about how to read guitar tabs, you just won’t find yourself becoming confused and bewildered by information that you can not understand.

If you are really interested in learning to play the acoustic guitar using an online course then you should be taking a serious look at what Ben Edward’s Jamorama Acoustic Guitar course has to offer. As previously mentioned there are plenty of other courses which are available online today, but very few of them have the same benefits and additional features that this one has.

Above we have shown you a number of reasons why the Jamorama Acoustic Guitar Course is an ideal solution. But if you would like to learn more about learning how to play this instrument then please visit Acoustic Guitar Information

I have not heard a lot about the Yamaha guitars so when I came across this article it sounded like a fun idea to share. I enjoyed how the author broke down the different Series of Yamaha guitars and gave a quick history lesson on Yamaha themselves. If you don’t know anything about Yamaha guitars then take a minute and read the article.

Guitars - Yamaha
Guitars - YamahaBy Michael RussellMichael RussellMichael RussellLevel: PlatinumMichael Russell has been involved in online business since early 2001, and whilst spending countless hours each month running his business still finds time for … Platinum Quality Author

In the world of guitars, Yamaha isn’t exactly the first company that you think of. Known more for keyboards, digital pianos and synthesizers, Yamaha still makes some decent guitars which are more than reasonably priced. We’re going to go over some of the guitars that this 40 year old company makes.

Yamaha started in 1966 long before the first synthesizer came out. But by the mid 80s they were making some of the best synthesizers on the market, including the classic Dx-7. But in spite of their reputation as a keyboard giant, the land of guitars was not very far away.

Yamaha guitars are not the fanciest looking models around but they do have a decent sound. The AES series includes the AES 420 through 920 series numbers, with the exception of the 820 which doesn’t exist. No explanation is given for the missing number.

The Pacifica series, which has a somewhat sleeker look than the AES series, includes the PAC 012 through 812, again missing a couple of series numbers including, again, the 8 series. They must have something against that number. Yamaha was always very unoriginal when it came to naming instrument models, whether they were keyboards or guitars.

The Gigmaker series is one of Yamaha’s newest additions. The look is very similar to the Pacifica series but that’s where the similarities end. The Gigmaker series features 20-watt, 2-channel drive guitar amp, protective gig bag, Qwik Tune Digital chromatic tuner, guitar cable, instructional DVD, guitar strap, extra strings and guitar picks. It may not sound like a big deal for those who have purchased the bigger name brands but for the price, this isn’t a bad guitar. The best part about this series is that it comes with a lifetime warranty. Even if you drop it off of a building, they’ll replace it free of charge.

One of the smaller series of guitars as far as how many are made, is the E series, which consists of only three models, the 112, 103 and 121. The guitars are actually very well made and come with not two, but three pickups. Two single coil and one humbucking pickup. Plus, they come with a vintage vibrato system and tremolo bar. And they don’t cost a fortune.

Another small series of guitars is the RGX series. Consisting of the 320, 520 and XA2, these guitars feature two Yamaha humbucker pickups and the original Yamaha AES series bridge. The three position pickup switch is a nice touch.

The Archtop series of guitars, which have some really fat looking bodies include not one but seven different models. They come with three single bar coil pickups, duel three way selector switches and a chrome Bigsby tremolo. These are some nice sounding guitars.

Rounding out their line of electric guitars is the Eterna. This guitar also comes with three pickups, two single coil and one humbucking.

No, you won’t find Yamaha guitars being played by your bigger rock and roll bands, but that’s not to say that they don’t make a decent instrument, especially for somebody who doesn’t have $2500 to spend.

Here is a cool quick lesson on how to play Led Zeppelin. The video is designed to help beginners. Watch it a few times and follow the directions and you should be able to play the solo. This video has only been out for a week and has seen 25k visitors.

I found this article and just really wanted to share it. It’s not too often you think about the types of reviews your looking at when you start doing your research on buying your guitar. The author explains what kind of reviews there are out there and what to look for in a review. I recommend reading this quick article if you are looking at reviews in your guitar search.

Finding The Right Acoustic Guitar
Reviews By Allison ThompsonAllison ThompsonLevel: PlatinumAllison Thompson who now lives in Spain and has become a work from home mum and is webmaster of several sites. …

When you are looking to buy a new acoustic guitar, it is a good idea to read as many acoustic guitar reviews before you invest your money. There are two different types of reviews around today. The first is the one which has been written by an expert and is someone who has had the chance to try out various different guitars regularly. Whilst the other is written by users and relates to one specific guitar that they are using.

When you look at the expert reviews you will find that these have been written by people who have had several years experience of playing these kinds of guitars. When looking at expert reviews the better ones should provide you with details on several different types which they have been able to use. Not only should they be pointing out the good points of each one but also their bad points as well, even if they do prefer a particular one over the others. It is important that if they have a bias towards a particular guitar they should clearly explain in their review why this is. You do not need someone who has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music, rather you want someone who knows what they are talking about.

But when it comes to user reviews look for websites where reviews are offered on every time of guitar that is available and has been written by several different types of musicians. The best place to search for such reviews is at online music stores. But it is important that when looking at these reviews you read those written by those who play the same kind of music as you and are at the same level in relation to performance abilities.

When you are looking for acoustic guitar reviews online there are certain things which you can do which can make the whole process of finding the right ones much easier. Firstly when carrying out a search online place quotation marks around the phrase that you are using as your search criteria. So for acoustic guitar reviews you would type in to the search box “acoustic guitar reviews”.

By using this phrasing when searching on sites like Yahoo you will be able to greatly reduce the number of search results that come back. Without the quotation marks you will end up with around 17 million search hits but with them this is reduced to just over 6,000. Also you can use this same search trick when looking for the review on a specific type of guitar. For example if you just type in Martin DX1 you will get around 38,000 search hits, but by typing in “Martin DX1″ this will reduced down to only 10,000.

Another trick that you may want to try when searching for acoustic guitar reviews is by including a plus sign (+) in to the search criteria. If you do this then the search engine will refine it searches to only include those that contain the exact phrasing that you have typed into the search box. Typing in “Martin DX1 review+” will come with a total of nine search results on Yahoo, because the search engine has only looked for those sites which have the exact same phrasing that you have typed in.

Also if you want to further try and get even better reviews relating to the acoustic guitar you are interested in then mix up the words that you are using as your search criteria. If say for example you type in “Martin DX1″+review rather than just getting nine search results back you will find that Yahoo now offers you about 500. Plus using this trick you can search for specific information in relation to say what kind of action the instrument has. Just simply include within your search criteria action before the plus sign and the search engine will do the rest.

If you use the tricks that we have mentioned above then you will find it much easier to find the right kinds of acoustic guitar reviews that you are after. This will not only save you a lot of time but it will help to make the decision as to which one you should buy much easier also.

Above we have provided some useful advice on how to go about searching for the right kinds of acoustic guitar reviews. If you would like to find out more about this instrument including about learning how to play it then visit Acoustic Guitar Information

This is for those of our readers who would like to learn how to play Classical Guitar. The author has some recommendations on how you may want to proceed. I don’t know that I agree with all of them but he does have over 30 years experience so he should know what he’s talking about.

Classical Guitar Beginners - Avoiding The All Too Common Frustrations
Classical Guitar Beginners - Avoiding The All Too Common FrustrationsBy Sakari Heikkila

Beginning study on the Classical Guitar is a magical time and in many ways it would be fun to be back in that moment again. It’s exciting to look at the Classical Guitar and marvel that it holds something wonderful to discover about yourself.

You might not know exactly what that is but all you do know is that your Creative Spirit is dying to get out.

Congratulations on recognizing that inspirational feeling.

After over thirty years of involvement with the Guitar on many different levels, I must warn you that your journey may contain moments of certainty and uncertainty, clarity and confusion as to what to do and where to go next, moments of achievement, inspiration and good old perseverance.

Don’t be fooled into believing anything else. It can be an emotional roller coaster ride if you don’t proceed cautiously.

But your ever constant Lighthouse on the Open Seas will be how well you initially learn the mandatory skill levels required to play all the beautiful music available for the Classical Guitar.

And Learn Them Well, Pure and Simple, so your Creative Spirit will stay alive and grow.

LISTEN!

The SINGLE BIGGEST MISTAKE Classical Guitar Teachers make is starting students out with playing music.

WHY?

Because it is altogether too much information to handle at once! The bad habits you’ll form with this method will be unbelievably painful to unlearn later when and if you’re ever brought to your senses. More often than not, I’ve seen players just give up and quit.

Then why do they teach this way? It’s so obvious. To keep you interested because playing music is much more fun than learning the skills to play music.

The NEXT BIGGEST MISTAKE Classical Guitar Teachers make is “telling” the student how to hold the guitar. There are endless ways to hold the guitar and the student’s initial process of self discovery is perhaps the single most important process the student will ever experience.

WHY?

Because hand position and ultimately, tone production, is predicated on the the anatomical features of each student’s hands, arms, torso length, etc., etc., etc..

So ALWAYS I recommend no guidance in the beginning regarding all this and I simply wait for the student to settle into what works for him or her. Then, once a feeling of security is reached for the student, minor improvements to the posturing and the various aspects of the physical elements of playing can be made. I have seen more students all contorted and twisted up in their body, hand and arm positions because that’s how they were “told” to posture, I can’t tell you.

And then they begin the long road of “unlearning”. Painful, very painful!

All Classical Guitarist beginners hit a “wall” or “plateau” about two to three years into their pursuit that they just can’t progress beyond. Their playing literally stops on many levels and a large majority simply put the Guitar in its case and come back to it at some later date. The reason is simple.

THE REASON?

They began their study on the guitar with incorrect directives and subsequently developed habits of play that fell outside of how they should play, NATURALLY, and because of that fact, frustration took over.

Do yourself a huge favor and simply avoid that heartache and learn YOUR physical playing skills first before you even look at a piece of music. You will take years off your learning curve and never experience the frustrations of inability.

When you look back ten years from now, how you first begin will be what you most remember and will inspire you through any difficult moments .

So, learn the proper skills first and then spend the rest of your life really enjoying the music . Invest just once in learning Classical Guitar Technique properly and save time and money in the long term……

OR…

keep surfing, buy a bunch of great “sounding” pieces and interesting “looking” exercises and “hope” that you’ll “magically” transform into the next “Segovia”.

To Your Music and To Your Success !
